Our parent organization, AMWA, is a non-profit organization serving the United States and Canada. AMWA provides numerous activities for individuals in medical communication. Tailored for the professional development of its members, these activities include meetings/conferences, career postings, publications, and continuing education workshops. AMWA Indiana-Michigan, also known as the Indiana-Michigan Chapter of AMWA, comprises a diverse group of members. AMWA Indiana-Michigan has a vibrant membership ranging from editors to CME, manuscript and regulatory freelance writers, as well as writers and editors at leading hospitals and medical centers. Our members benefit from our proximity to wide expertise of medical writers in medical and pharmaceutical industries not only in Indianapolis and Michigan but also internationally, as we organise virtual events regularly.

Mission
The American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) is the leading professional organization for writers, editors, and other communicators of medical and health information. AMWA’s mission is to promote excellence in medical communication and to provide educational resources in support of that goal. As the Indiana-Michigan Chapter of AMWA, we work to promote AMWA's mission in both states by providing education and networking opportunities for members who live in and outside of the United States.
